Generation Rhondda follows an asset-based community development approach. Specifically, Generation Rhondda follows the ethos of developing locally led solutions to underlying needs in Rhondda. To do this, keeping local Rhondda people at the centre of all programmes is key. Generation Rhondda takes a bottom up approach by working with community leaders and employing local residents with local skillsets to give back to the community.
Generation Rhondda was developed from People and Works action based research in the Rhondda. People and Work committed to 10 years of working in the Rhondda. In People and Works 9th year of within in the Rhondda the project team began to develop the People and Work project into their own charity- Generation Rhondda.
